Fuh-un!

Well this weekend was a busy one but not with all the typical crazy outtings and chaos that typically take over our weekends. We did chores and this included (mostly) A LOT of laundry. You would think after devoting a whole weekend to laundry that it would all be done. But its not. I swear. It never goes away! Oh Mrs. Jetson. I need your laundry chute and sweet closet that always puts on new fresh clothes! We did end up buying hampers though so now at least all the clothes will (hopefully) end up where they belong instead of laying all over the floor. Its already helping and holds the kids responsible. Guess I should have thought of this a long time ago! Thank heavens for Jared and his bright idea.

Don't let me make you believe he comes up with the only good ideas. My good idea for the week was getting hooks that we will be able to hang the kids towels up on. Now. He did buy the hooks and he did also hang them up, but hello, can I get some credit for the idea! We also didn't really measure and secure them entirely so we already have bets on which hook falls first. Either way, who knew that seeing 6 towels hanging on hooks would make my heart melt but...for real...heart...melted. I guess its just another little sign that we are a little family. I mean. I know we are but these little things make it that much more real.

Outside of chores and boring stuff we also didn't have all the kids the entire weekend. Its strange to have only some of them and at the same time its also kind of cute. Laneya went to her grandmas house to get spoiled for her birthday because grandma won't be around on her actual birthday. Carina went to a friend. Jareds kids were there until Saturday and Rian was the only kiddo we had Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. Weird. One kid.

On Saturday we went to a birthday party and had a great time. It was a little (actually a lot) chilly but we still managed to have fun, fly kites, eat some grubbing BBQ and chill with a few of his friends. We hung out with the same peeps on New Years and its always a good easy relaxing time. Rian had never flown a kite and he didn't quite get the concept and the lack of wind wasn't helping but he still had fun. Brooke was a cute little princess and we got the unofficial 'best present' award because apparently Frozen items are SUPER hard to find these days and we got a pretty good one. Similar to what Alyssa got for Christmas. Boom! We are awesome.

We got home late Saturday night but Sunday morning Rian and I made the most of just him being around. We went to breakfast, we saw a movie and then after my phone finally started receiving texts again (stupid AT&T)...we went home and grabbed Carina and off to lunch we went. We had a great day and Rian got to feel pretty special for once. He rarely gets to be the only kid around.

Last but not least. My 2013 taxes are off in the mail and that makes me feel happy and said. Happy because I am a grown up and filed my taxes. Sad because the IRS is going to happily take all my money. Haha. Either way it feels good.

Now we get to prep for Easter and two special little ones birthdays!! Yep. Tyler will be 12 and Laneya will be 10! Can  you believe it. I can't!
